Coyote

A book investigating occurrences of coyotes within the context of displacement. The book weaves three disparate texts in order to reveal the relationships of various types of coyotes: the mammal (Canis latrans), the American Indian Trickster-Creator, and people who smuggle immigrants into the U.S from Mexico. The texts overlap and touch on themes such as migration, displacement, kidnapping, and geography.
